Kauai is the oldest and fourth largest of the main Hawaiian Islands.  Of volcanic origin, the highest peak on this mountainous island is Kawaikini at 5,243 ft. The second highest peak is Mount Wai’ale’ale near the center of the island rising to 5,148 ft. above sea level.  Kauai Hawaii is one of the wettest spots on Earth, where high annual rainfall has eroded deep valleys in the central mountain, carving out canyons with many scenic waterfalls.

Kauai offers the most spectacular scenery found anywhere on earth steeped in the traditions and cultural heritage of the ancient Hawaiians. On the island of Kauai, you can enjoy sparkling, golden sand beaches, world class resorts and golf courses, a wonderfully diverse array of dining options, and adventures for the entire family.

The Na Pali Coast State Park stretches sixteen miles along the northwest side of Kauai, where the "cliffs" rise as high as 4,000 ft. above the Pacific Ocean.  This coast in Hawaii can be enjoyed by hiking, boating, kayaking or from a helicopter. The Kalalau Trail provides the only land access, traversing eleven miles and crossing five valleys before reaching Kalalau Beach at the base of the Kalalau Valley.

Waimea Canyon, on the western side of Kauai, is a spectacular canyon that is approximately ten miles long and up to 3,000 feet deep. It has been called the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific" by Mark Twain.  This is also a popular tourist destination.

Kauai is a quiet, charming, rural atmosphere that mirrors the old plantation community life of decades ago.
